Spaceship Earth Entrance Gets Fresh New Look Ahead of Reopening at EPCOT

EPCOT’s icon is getting a little extra polish before guests return to journey through time once again. The entrance to Spaceship Earth has been freshly repainted as part of its ongoing refurbishment, revealing a cleaner, brighter color palette that gives the attraction’s front plaza a crisp new look ahead of reopening later this month.

The curved blue and white walls that frame the entrance have received a complete refresh. While the geometric design remains unchanged, the blue tones appear more vivid, and the lighter sections now lean closer to gray-white hues instead of the previous pale blue. The result is a modernized, high-contrast finish that pairs beautifully with the gleaming silver panels of the geodesic sphere above.

Spaceship Earth has been closed since late August for refurbishment, which included the replacement of exterior panels and interior updates. According to Disney, the attraction is set to reopen on October 25, restoring the park’s signature storytelling journey through human innovation and communication.

This exterior refresh brings a renewed sense of “progress and promise” to EPCOT’s front gateway—perfect timing as the park continues to evolve its look and feel with ongoing updates throughout World Celebration.
