Universal Horror Unleashed Opens in Las Vegas with Star-Studded Premiere
Las Vegas just got a whole lot scarier. On Thursday September 18, Universal Horror Unleashed officially opened its doors with a red-carpet event that drew celebrities, filmmakers, and of course, plenty of monsters. This brand-new, year-round horror destination from Universal Destinations and Experiences is now the ultimate haunt lovers’ playground — no plane ticket to Orlando or Hollywood required.

Housed inside an abandoned production warehouse setting, the attraction features eight live experiences: four bone-chilling haunted houses and four immersive scare zones packed with live entertainment, monstrous characters, and eerie encounters lurking around every corner.
The four haunted houses bring both iconic horror legends and original nightmares to life:
- Universal Monsters: Step face-to-face with Dracula, Frankenstein, and other timeless terrors.
- Blumhouse’s The Exorcist: Believer: Relive demonic possessions in a house that feels straight out of the film.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Run (don’t walk!) from Leatherface and his twisted family.
- Scarecrow: The Reaping: A fan-favorite original story where decayed farmland comes alive with vengeful scarecrows.
Guests won’t just be screaming — they’ll be snacking, too. The experience includes themed food and beverage offerings available for purchase, horror-inspired merchandise, and spooky photo ops perfect for sharing.

The grand opening drew a mix of horror royalty and Hollywood stars. Bravo favorites Shannon Beador, Jennifer Pedranti, Dorinda Medley, and Ashley Darby were spotted alongside horror heavyweights like Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions, James Wan of Atomic Monster, and Greg Nicotero, known for his legendary special effects work. Bel-Air stars Jabari Banks and Jordan L. Jones also hit the carpet, adding even more star power to the bloody bash.
With the curtain officially lifted, Universal Horror Unleashed is ready to terrify fans 365 days a year in the heart of Las Vegas.
