Adventureland Entrance Sign at Magic Kingdom Restored After Refurbishment
The Adventureland entrance sign at Magic Kingdom is back to greeting explorers in style after a round of refurbishment that began earlier this summer. The iconic wooden archway, adorned with spears, masks, and tribal designs, was removed in early August for a refresh, sparking curiosity among fans who wondered what changes might be on the horizon.

When the sign first reappeared last week, guests noticed a few missing details. The skull props, golden Abu Fab 50 statue, and carved accents on the right support beams had not returned, leaving the entryway looking a little less adventurous. However, during the latest visit, most of those missing pieces are now back in place, restoring much of the sign’s original character.
The refurbishment included some noticeable updates. The canvas portion of the sign itself appears brand new, with refreshed coloring and slightly different lettering. The straw “mane” around the animal skull above the sign has been replaced with a straighter, more polished version, and the ropes tying the structure together have been swapped from white to brown. Decorative patterns on the wooden supports have also been repainted, giving the sign a sharper, revitalized look.

While the majority of props have returned, one decorative straw element on the right support is still absent and may be reinstalled in the near future. For now, though, the entrance once again feels complete, welcoming guests into a land filled with exotic adventures.
Adventureland remains one of the most vibrant corners of Magic Kingdom, home to fan-favorite attractions like Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, as well as the brand-new Beak and Barrel lounge. With the entrance sign restored, the journey into this tropical escape has never looked more inviting.
