The doors are creaking open at Universal Horror Unleashed, and thanks to photos shared on X by actor James Keaton, beloved by Halloween Horror Nights fans as the one and only Jack the Clown, we now have a chilling first look inside Universal’s year-round house of horrors in Las Vegas. And yes… it’s as terrifying as you hoped.

This permanent haunt, set to open on August 14, 2025, is Universal’s first 365-day horror experience and part of the expanding AREA15 complex. The industrial façade may look like an abandoned warehouse on the outside, but step through that weathered threshold and you’ll find yourself in a full-blown horror universe.

The Outside: Welcome to Your Nightmare

The building itself looks like it was ripped from a horror film set—complete with cracked concrete textures, barred windows, looming floodlights, and a rusted fan vent looming over the Horror Unleashed logo. Hazard-striped warehouse doors signal both danger and invitation—just the right mood for what’s to come.

Inside the Fear Factory: A Photo Tour

Actor James Keaton’s photo set pulls back the curtain on the spine-tingling interior:

  • Jack’s Stage Returns: A massive circular saw blade emblazoned with Jack the Clown’s twisted grin serves as the centerpiece for what appears to be a performance zone. Purple and red lighting, creepy carnival props, and sideshow-style set pieces hint at live shows that will bring the chaos of Halloween Horror Nights to life.
  • Steam and Sips: A towering industrial boiler—complete with glowing red windows and pluming smoke—sits at the heart of a wraparound horror-themed bar. Details like exposed copper piping, gears, and flickering lights give it that Frankenstein-meets-mad-laboratory feel. Order a shot… if you dare.
  • The Haunted Farmhouse: One photo shows a rusted vintage pickup parked in front of a spooky cabin porch surrounded by cornstalks, shadows, and just enough gloom to make you question if someone—or something—is watching from the second-story window.
  • Character Encounters: From sultry vampire queens lounging on thrones to twisted clown performers leering from balconies, it’s clear this space is built for interaction. These aren’t static displays—these are scareactors ready to terrorize you up close.
  • The Jack Show: Several images show what appears to be a mini-stage show with Jack and his bloodthirsty crew taunting terrified guests. Think HHN house meets haunted improv theater, with all the chaos you’d expect from the Clown Prince of Fear.
