Swiss Family Treehouse UndergoingRefurbishment at Magic Kingdom
If you’re planning a visit to Magic Kingdom this holiday season, take note: the Swiss Family Treehouse will be temporarily closed for refurbishment. According to Disney’s refurbishment calendar, the popular walkthrough attraction closed on November 18, 2024, with a reopening date scheduled for December 20, 2024.

Nestled in Adventureland, the Swiss Family Treehouse invites guests to climb and explore the intricate, hand-crafted home of the shipwrecked Robinson family. Inspired by the beloved Disney film Swiss Family Robinson, the attraction showcases creative living spaces, unique decor, and breathtaking views of the surrounding park—all within a towering man-made tree.
Disney has not released details on the specific updates or changes planned during this maintenance period. However, refurbishments like this are typically focused on refreshing the attraction to ensure it remains safe and enjoyable for all visitors.

While the Swiss Family Treehouse is closed, guests can still enjoy Adventureland favorites like the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room. And with the refurbishment scheduled to end just in time for the holidays, guests visiting later in December can look forward to seeing the treehouse in all its renewed glory.
