The Dole Whip Sampler at Disney Springs offers a trio of tantalizing flavors: Dole Whip Orange with Watermelon, Pineapple with Vanilla, and Lime with Strawberry. Each serving is beautifully garnished with fresh fruit, making the sampler a great summer treat as well as the perfect way to explore several flavors of DOLE Whip. The sampler does melt quickly in the Florida heat, so be sure you eat it quickly or share with a friend!
DOLE Whip Day officially falls on July 18, marking a special occasion this year as it celebrates 40 years since the beloved treat debuted at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in 1984. Since then, Dole Whip has become a staple at various Disney locations, including Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney’s Hawaiian Resort Aulani, and Disneyland Paris.
The history of this treat is as delightful as its taste. Initially known as “Dole Pineapple Whip,” the name “Dole Whip” is exclusively used by Disney parks and the Dole company, which also serves the treat at its O’ahu plantation. While pineapple remains the most popular flavor, the treat has expanded to include varieties like watermelon, lime, and mango. Although other businesses can purchase the same mix, they must refer to it as “Dole Soft Serve” due to trademark restrictions.
