Experiencing the Disney College Program can make all the difference as you take your first steps into the professional world. Here are five reasons you should consider doing a Disney College Program:

1. Kickstart the career of your dreams

Since starting more than 40 years ago, the Disney College Program has helped many Disney leaders kick off their dream careers. Roles at Disney’s theme parks and resorts teach valuable transferable skills and give participants hands-on experience… all while working for one of the world’s most admired media and entertainment companies! The program can help you get your foot in the door at Disney or even set you up with the tools and experience for a successful career at another company.

2. Live independently in a state-of-the-art housing community

One of the most unique parts of the Disney College Program experience is the opportunity to live at Flamingo Crossings Village, a newly completed community purpose-built for participants and located conveniently near the theme parks, dining and more. Here, participants can live in upscale apartment-style residences and enjoy exclusive access to social and professional experiences.

Owned and operated by American Campus Communities and designed with Disney Programs participants in mind, this community features special amenities like resort-style pools, a 12,500 sq. ft. fitness center, expansive Community Centers and educational facilities. Disney also provides bus transportation that offers direct access from the community to work locations and nearby shopping and dining.

3. Learn from the pros

Outside of work, participants can continue their professional development with experiences tailored to help them learn, grow and network with experts in their field. Through events like conversations with Disney Legends and industry leaders and expo-style career showcases, participants make valuable connections and go behind the scenes to learn how to be successful in a variety of opportunities as they embark on the next chapter of their lives.

4. Make friendships that last a lifetime

Whether working together, living together or attending one of the many social events at Flamingo Crossings Village, the bonds participants make with their peers from around the world last far beyond the Disney College Program.

5. Become part of the magic

In addition to making unforgettable magic for guests each day in the theme parks and resorts, participants get to enjoy the magic of #DisneyCastLife with special perks like access to the Disney theme parks, exclusive previews of new attractions, and “VoluntEAR” events where they can help make a difference for the world around us, starting right here in the Central Florida community.
