Doctor Strange Spinoff Show Reportedly in Development
Rumors are swirling that a new Dr. Strange Spin-off is in the works for the Disney+ streaming service. Could Marvel be developing a show based on the ‘Strange Academy’ comics? The Strange Academy comic run was a line of graphic novels from Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos. They follow Dr. Strange as he perfects his magical skills alongside other powerful sorcerers.
These rumors come courtesy of Reddit’s “Tales from the Mod Queue.” The mod team cites “trusted sources” who say a show based on Dr. Stange are in development. The rumored project is supposedly built around Wong (Benedict Wong) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez), who last we saw at Kamar-Taj in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Wong quickly became a fan favorite, having appeared in multiple Phase 4 projects in the MCU. He has a brief cameo in a Shang Chi post-credit scene, played prominent in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and appeared in multiple She-Hulk episodes. Are we all hoping he brings Madisynn King along for late-night Soprano’s binge sessions?
