Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Decorated for the Holidays
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort is all decorated for the holidays! Wreaths, garlands, and even a huge Christmas tree adorn the outside of the hotel as well as the lobby.

Outside of the hotel is a holiday display with a reindeer and Christmas trees. The median is full of poinsettias too!
A huge wreath hangs above the alcove where the fireplace sits. Garlands can be seen hanging around the upper levels of the lobby and over doors. All of the greenery is decorated with ornaments, lights, citrus, and pinecones.
In the center of the lobby, next to the baby grand piano, you’ll see the 35-foot Christmas tree! The tree is decorated with white and yellow lights, ornaments, pine cones, and other Craftsman-style ornaments. Multiple lanterns can be seen on the tree and a few reindeer top the tree. Santa’s chair and some gifts sit at the side of the tree. Guests can visit with Santa at different times throughout the day.
If you’d like to see a large gingerbread display, you won’t want to miss the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Californian hotel! It is a replica of the hotel and is 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide. The house is created from more than 600 pounds of gingerbread, 600 pounds of powdered sugar, 250 pounds of fondant, 1 pound of pixie dust, and features 25 hidden Mickeys. Oh and it smells delicious! Next to the display is a stand where you can purchase gingerbread cookies and other holiday treats.
