Disney removes ‘Song of the South’ Music from Tokyo Disneyland theme park
The Tokyo Disney Resort is removing the classic “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” song from its parks as they become more inclusive. The song is originally from the movie ‘Song of the South’ and has become known as the theme song for the Splash Mountain attraction.

The song is slowly being removed from music loops played at different locations throughout the Tokyo Disney Resort. The resort is taking this action to create a more inclusive environment for all guests.

Though it’s interesting to note that there has been no announcement regarding a change or update coming to the Splash Mountain attraction at Tokyo Disneyland. As of now, only Splash Mountain at Disneyland and at Magic Kingdom will be rethemed to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
The U.S. parks have also quietly removed “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” from their music loops in recent years.
