Fans of the Percy Jackson book series by author Rick Riordan have eagerly awaited news and images as the new Disney+ Original Series is currently filming. The new series stars Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson), Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryan Simhadri (Grover Underwood), Virginia Kull (Sally Jackson), as well as a variety of supporting cast members including Jason Mantzoukas, Dior Goodjohn, Glynn Turman, Charlie Bushnell, Timm Sharp, Olivea Morton, and more.

“The live-action series tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.”
The first image on set was shared by Disney+ along with the caption, “It’s a very special day for a very special demigod. We’re celebrating Percy Jackson’s birthday with a gift just for you… #PercyPreview. #PercyJackson and the Olympians is coming soon to #DisneyPlus.” Check out the first image of the “Golden Trio” below:
