Universal Theme Parks have reached an all-time high in attendance for the 2nd quarter of 2022 according to the Comcast 2022 Q2 earnings call. Attendance at Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood has been well above pre-pandemic levels.
For the second quarter of 2022, theme park revenue jumped 65% to $1.8 billion.

Universal Orlando also generated its highest adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization on record for any quarter, according to the Comcast report.
Executives attributed the overall revenue growth at the parks to higher attendance and increased spending by guests at Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Universal Studios Japan.

During the earnings call, Comcast Chief Executive Officer Brian Roberts also mentioned Epic Universe is “full steam ahead.”
“I cannot be more excited for how this park will bring new experiences to our visitors,…” he said.
Epic Universe is expected to open in 2025.
