Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn teases actor Chukwudi Iwuji’s performance in the upcoming MCU movie.
While details remain unknown, it has been confirmed that the actor will portray the film’s villain. Even Chukwudi Iwuji described his unnamed character as “extremely powerful” and “complex.”
While Iwuji’s character in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe installment is a mystery, Gunn recently teased the nature of the actor’s performance on Twitter. “Wait till you see Chuk murder it in [Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3] with a truly explosive performance,” he tweeted.

At the moment, it’s unknown exactly what the future holds for the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, as Gunn has spoken openly in the past about this film possibly being the last time the group of Guardians fans have come to know would be heavily featured.
Also, Vol. 3 will be the third and final in Gunn’s series of Guardians films, with Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sylvester Stallone and Will Poulter also set to star. Production on the upcoming film produced by Kevin Feige kicked off in November of 2021. Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito and Nikolas Korda are exec producing, and David J. Grant and Simon Hatt serving as co-producers.
In the meantime, fans can see the Guardians of the Galaxy making an appearance in Thor: Love and Thunder, which premieres July 8th in theaters!
