Marvel Studios is reportedly planning on starting filming for Blade next month!
According to a new report on Production Listing, the filming process will begin on July 4th, 2022. It is said the picture will also film in two locations: Atlanta, Georgia and New Orleans.
Actor Mahershala Ali will be playing the titular role of Blade. The only actors outside of Ali to be announced include Delroy Lindo and Aaron Pierre. Bassam Tariq will direct from a script he wrote with Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
No additional casting or story details have been announced. Ali made his first (very brief) appearance as Blade, or at least his voice did, in the post-credits scene from Eternals. Eager Marvel fans are still questioning Blade’s possible connection to Kit Harrington’s Eternals character.

The brief project summary states, “he is known to be a vampire hunter— half-mortal, half-immortal — who tries to rid the world of vampires as a way of avenging his mother, who was killed by a vampire as she gave birth to him.”
So far, Blade has yet to set a release date from Marvel. We’ll continue to post updates when more information becomes available.
