Charlie Cox Breaks Silence on Joining the MCU as Daredevil in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

For months, Charlie Cox had to dodge questions about his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home after claims of the actor being seen on set spread like wildfire among Marvel Fans during production. Though he did not confirm Cox’s involvement in No Way Home, just weeks before the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere Marvel Studios Kevin Feige shared that “when” Matt Murdock/Daredevil appeared in the MCU that it would be Charlie Cox.

Now that Charlie has made his official Marvel Cinematic Universe debut the actor is free to discuss his role and hopes for the future. While chatting with Australia’s Supanova, Charlie was asked about the future of Daredevil within the MCU, to which he responded, “I don’t want to sound greedy, but I hope I get to do loads more. I hope I get to be involved way, way more for many years. I hope it never ends. I hope it gets to the point where people are like, ‘You are too old to be playing this part.’”

He also divulged that he is not aware of the specifics about future storylines for Matt Murdock/Daredevil, but he is very excited to dive deeper into Marvel lore and interact with other Marvel characters that couldn’t be explored during the original series run on Netflix.

I don’t know what their [Marvel Studios’] plans are, but yes, my hope is that I get to do as much as I’m allowed to do, and to be involved. And it’d be really fun, the one thing that being in the MCU allows that we couldn’t really do with the Netflix stuff, is that I can now interact with other MCU characters. So, that would be really cool. Crossovers is the thing I would like to do next. I don’t know what that looks like, and I don’t know what they’re planning and all that kind of stuff. But there are some really interesting stories there that I’d love for the character to explore.
