Walt Disney World is relaxing its mask requirements for cast members. Cast members who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 can go mask-free while backstage at the resort. This new policy goes into effect on November 8, 2021.

Guests are still required to wear masks while indoors and on Disney transportation. There is a rumor that Disney will soon relax mask requirements for guests but we haven’t seen any official information yet.

Orange County recently lifted its executive emergency order as Covid cases have started to decrease. Stay tuned for more information regarding Walt Disney World!
As a reminder, Disney World’s face mask policy is:
“Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) in all indoor locations, regardless of vaccination status. This includes upon entering and throughout all indoor attractions and indoor queues and in Disney buses, monorail and Disney Skyliner, regardless of vaccination status. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas.”
