It’s not uncommon for Disney to raise and lower the flags following the lead of the government buildings. President Biden ordered the flag to be flown at half staff until August 30, 2021, as a mark of respect for those that lost their lives in Afghanistan.
Disney World is implementing a Resort-wide tribute -meaning that all flags at the parks and resorts are impacted. It is an emotional and somber reminder of those that lost their lives.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those fallen military members and their families.
