Disney Cruise Line has resumed sailings out of Florida with a strict face mask policy in place. All guests age two and over were required to wear masks while indoors onboard unless they were eating or in their own stateroom. Now, Disney Cruise Line has updated its face mask policy.

The update allows guests to remove their masks when taking photos so long as they are socially distanced from other parties. The policy now reads:
“All Guests (ages 2 and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19) are required to wear face coverings indoors. Exceptions include when Guests are in their staterooms or actively eating, drinking or taking a photo (while stationary and maintaining an appropriate physical distance). Face coverings are not required for Guests outdoors while on board the ship and at designated locations on Disney Castaway Cay. Face coverings may be required in ports of call based on local government requirements.”

This policy change applies to cruises out of the U.S., as the update was only shared on the Know Before You Go page for U.S. cruises, not for U.K. cruises. The Disney Magic is currently sailing out of the U.K. The Disney Dream is sailing out of Florida and next month the Disney Fantasy will resume sailing as well.
