Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts have remained closed to guests since the shutdown in 2020. Guests have been patiently waiting for news on when these fan-favorite resorts would reopen.

Recently Disney has started to work on these resorts, hopefully getting them ready to reopen soon!
Disney recently filed several permits all relating to General Construction on both Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts.

- Port Orleans French Quarter Check-In Building
- Port Orleans French Quarter Check-In Building
While the permits filed just list General Construction as the work being done, we are hopeful that work is starting to get these Resorts ready to reopen. Why else would they be working on the Check-In Buildings if they were not getting things ready to reopen? Maybe it is just wishful thinking…

There is no mention of Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter Resorts but there is still time to slide them in for September just in time for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary on October 1st. I can dream, can’t I?
