Cast members were welcomed back to Disneyland yesterday for a special cast member preview. They got to experience the Happiest Place on Earth with their guests before the park officially opens on Friday. With the magic returning to Disneyland, the perfect one to open up the gates was the one and only Mickey Mouse himself!

The Disneyland Resort theme parks have been closed for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock shared an emotional message on his Instagram account:
“Look who stopped by to open the gate at Disneyland Park… the “big cheese” himself, Mickey Mouse! Kris and I had an amazing morning welcoming our Cast and their guests back. It’s exciting to meet more Cast Members and it feels great to hear laughter in the park once again!”

Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will reopen this Friday, April 30. Both parks are limited to 25% capacity and are only open to California residents at this time. Guests will need to have a park reservation along with valid admission in order to enter a park.
