Newly Opened Cast Co-Op is an eye-opening experience for a few reasons. First, it is awesome to see our local community come together for a common cause. Second, it is amazing to see how talented people can be. We got a chance to check out the new Cast Co-op at 16744 Cagan Crossings Blvd Clermont, FL 34714, and get a grand tour around the facilities and be introduced to some of the vendors selling their wares by Steve Wilcox the head of marketing for Cast Co-op. Check out the Instagram video below of our talk.
Cast Co-op is an off-shoot of the Ear For You inc. the non-profit group. They have opened a storefront in Clermont, FL, minutes from Walt Disney World resorts. Cagan Crossing is just off 192 on 27. The store itself is well laid out and features 2 sides. One side is for the vendors, the other side and a very important part of this whole endeavor is for supporting local Hospitality workers who may be in need called the Cast Co-op Commissary. This means any Cast member, Team member, Hotel worker, cook, custodians, wait staff, basically if you are in the hospitality business in central Florida and need help, please reach out.

All hospitality workers affected by financial hardship are invited to complete an online eligibility form. You can be as private as you want during the whole process. They will bring stuff directly to your car if you so want.
If you wish to help in anyway, here is a small list of how you can do it.
- Donations
- Volunteering
- Spread the Word to those who may need help
- If you are visiting Disney or Universal or any local Attraction, take a moment and visit
- Buy some of the vendors goods
- Are you talented? Become a vendor
Also, for those with pets and are struggling, there is help from Hospitality Pets In Need who have a booth set up and can be emailed by clicking the link.
The vendor side of the newly opened Cast Co-Op reminded me why I failed in art school. There is some amazing talent selling some well-thought-out stuff. From masks to ceramic tiles, hand sanitizers, woodworkings, coasters, stickers, lotions, and tie-dyed shirts to baked goods and everything in between. Check out the photos to see some of the work being sold.
We all know things are starting to pick up locally. Cast members are getting callbacks, Disney is Hiring, restaurants are hiring. This is wonderful and is giving many of us hope. But…
… People still are in need though. We still need to come together to help out all those who go out of their way to make our time at the parks magical! Let us return some of the magic back to them. This is my home, these are my people. These people who work the Parks are our lifeblood. We need you, and we need your help.
Look at those photos, look at those amazing artists and see the faces behind the magic! These are the faces of triumph, they never gave up. They did not ask to lose a job, but when they did they took it as it came and made something out of it. We have some beautiful new art in this world because of them!
You can see most of these vendors on Ear for Each Other Facebook group.
