Liam Neeson Willing to Reprise his Role as Qui-Gon Jinn for the ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series. Star Wars fans are excited and for good reason! With a new set of Star Wars series coming to Disney+ and new movies on the way there is a lot to look forward to, but several tales will give us a chance to dive deeper into the stories of characters we thought to be long gone. One such character is Qui-Gon Jinn from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
After the premiere of the prequels, Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker “Force Ghosts” were added into the final scenes of Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi and this small change nearly two decades ago has led current Star Wars fans to believe Qui-Gon may make an appearance in the upcoming Disney+ Series, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
In an interview with Collider, Neeson shared he would be open to returning to the role despite having denied interest in previous years. Collider asked if he, Neeson, had been asked to return to the Star Wars Universe which he says is not the case, but he is open to the idea, stating, “I’ll be honest with you: I haven’t heard that at all. Sure, I’d be up for that, yeah.”
Would you like to see Qui-Gon Jinn return in Obi-Wan Kenobi? Do you think he should appear in flashbacks or as a “Force Ghost”? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Star Wars!
