All Four ‘Indiana Jones’ Movies Are Leaving Netflix Soon. Sorry, Indy fans! All four of the Indiana Jones films will be leaving Netflix after December 31st. The films will be leaving along with titles such as The Office, Gossip Girl, and the Back to the Future films. It is currently unknown which streaming platform the films will be joining after their removal, but we are sure there will be an announcement soon!
Currently, a fifth Indiana Jones film is in the works by Lucasfilm. After years of planning with several major delays including a directoral change, the global pandemic, and complete overhauls of the script, Lucasfilm has reportedly set a date for production to begin! According to the DisInsider, Disney and Lucasfilm have set production to begin in August 2021.
Lucasfilm is said to be eyeing Pinewood Studios just outside London to be the filming HQ for the new chapter of the Indiana Jones franchise, with Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy serving as an executive producer. The new script has been penned by Jonathan Kasdan (Solo: A Star Wars Story) and James Mangold (Logan) has replaced Steven Spielberg as director for the sequel.
Currently, Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Indiana Jones, but no other cast members have been announced at the time of writing. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Lucasfilm!
