By the end of 2020 Disney will be assuming all operations of Epcot’s Morocco Pavilion according to a joint statement released by Jacquee Wahler, VP Communications Walt Disney World Resort, and Rashid Choufani and Rachid Lyazidi Operating Participants of the Morocco Pavilion :
“After many years of working together, we have a mutually agreed arrangement to begin the process of transitioning operations of the Morocco pavilion to Disney. By the end of the year, Disney will assume operations of this important part of EPCOT and under Disney’s operation, the pavilion will continue to honor the rich traditions and legacy it has since it opened.”
With Disney taking over that means all Food & Beverage and Merchandise locations will be run by Disney by the end of 2020.
The Moroccan Embassy and Morocco Tourism Board will still be involved with the operations of the Pavilion as cultural consultants.
At this time only Spice Road Table and a few shops are open in the Morocco Pavilion, there is no word on if Princess Jasmine meet & greet will reopen anytime soon.
Recently Anna & Elsa started greeting guests in Epcot from a safe distance in the Norway Pavilion, it would be nice if Jasmine did the same thing in the Morocco Pavilion!
