There are quite a few changes coming to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World. We learned yesterday that the resort will not be reopening until 2021 AND the rooms will be receiving a Moana-themed makeover. With all of these changes, the monorail service will also be temporarily suspended.
Disney World’s website says:
“Monorail transportation is available between the Great Ceremonial House and Magic Kingdom park until early October 2020; the walkway to the Transportation and Ticket Center will remain open, where Guests may access the monorail and ferry boats to Magic Kingdom park. Monorail transportation is not available for EPCOT.”
The resort will not open until 2021, however, the villas and bungalows are open for guests. While monorail transportation will be unavailable for an unknown amount of time, bus transportation will be available from the hotel to all Disney World theme parks.
