An Anaheim hotel only blocks away from Disneyland suffered quite the commotion yesterday, Aug. 5, as an estimated 100 person brawl broke out. The hotel, Cambria Hotel & Suites, called in police officers yesterday afternoon for a fight in the lobby, according to the Orange County Register.
Anaheim police Sgt. Shane Carringer commented on the hotel’s state upon officers’ arrival: “The officers arrive and were immediately met with about 40 people fighting outside,” with another estimated 50-60 people fighting inside.
According to The Orange County Register, police officers didn’t know what had sparked the massive fight, but that it began in the pool area of the hotel.

Once the fight had been broken up, officers began to question people, though some were unwilling to speak or had contradicting stories.
Two people have been hospitalized with minor lacerations and two others were taken into custody.
The hotel was able to go back to normal operations Wednesday evening after being on lockdown once the fight broke out.
