Cinderella castle is broken! But not the one you are thinking of…
The Shanghai Museum of Glass is home of the world’s largest glass castle made by Miguel Arribas and inspired in Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom! It really is beautiful!
Unfourtunally, back in May, two kids running around it chasing each other, accidentally bumped into the display case making the castle fall, breaking the main spire and other parts of the structure.
The castle took 500 hours of work and is worth around $64,000. It also features 24-karat gold on it’s spires.
Even though the accident happened 2 months ago, the museum just released a statement this weekend saying that they hope to have Arribas artists over to repair the damage but due to travel restrictions that’s going to have to wait a bit.
The parents of the two kids have apologized and promised to take full responsibility for the repairs.
