Disneyland has resumed construction on the Frontierland gate in Disneyland Park. This $200,000 renovation was started before the park closure back in March.
This renovation calls for the replacement of a pair of 15-foot-tall faux wooden gates and a 16-foot-long marquee along with the widening of an existing bridge at the Frontierland entrance. The completed project will improve pedestrian traffic flow.
The Frontierland gate project is expected to be similar to an earlier Adventureland project that widened the notoriously crowded entryway into the land.
According to Disneyland officials, this project is one of many that needs to be completed before the Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen. Construction has also resumed on other essential projects at both parks.
