The Walt Disney World theme parks are getting ready to reopen and the DVC resorts have already started welcoming back guests. We walked around three of the DVC Resorts to see what procedures they have in place for social distancing.

The first resort we stopped at was the Contemporary Resort. All three of the resorts we visited had this sign. They are not having guests stand in lines at the front desk. Be sure to download My Disney Experience for check in. You’ll also need My Disney Experience to book your theme park reservations.
At all the resorts we stopped at there was lots of signage all over and plenty of hand sanitizer stations. Most of the shops and quick service restaurants had a designated entrance and exit.
Here’s a look at the Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. They have the sign out front for mobile order and a cast member outside to assist. The dessert case is blocked off and you are brought straight to a register for pickup. They also have the cashier behind a glass barrier. Some tables had signs that they were reserved for social distancing.
The Main pool area was open but the splash pad was not. Also all lounge chairs were spread apart.
Since the theme parks aren’t starting to open until July 11th the resorts were very quiet. At some points I was the only guest in the lobby.
All of the resorts had cast members constantly cleaning and offered help with any new procedures. It was really a great feeling to be back on Disney property again.
