In a few weeks, the NBA returns to finish the basketball season at Walt Disney World Resort. We knew basketball players would be staying on Disney property, but no details were provided on where they were staying. Now a Twitter user is suggesting the proposed schedule and resort locations for the NBA teams.
One Twitter source, Shams Charania, claims the NBA teams will be housed at three specific Disney resorts. The basketball teams will be staying at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Also, the teams will be separated based upon their rankings within the league.
In NBA's ORL campus:
– Hotel amenities: players-only lounge (NBA 2K, TVs, gaming), pool/trails, barbers, manicurists, pedicurists
– 24-hour VIP concierge
– Daily entertainment: Movie screenings, DJ sets, video games, ping pong, pool, lawn games
– Players can attend other games— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) June 16, 2020
Furthermore, there’s been talk regarding which specific basketball teams are staying at each Disney Resort.
- Teams staying at Grand Destino will be the Lakers, Raptors, Bucks, Clippers, Celtics, Nuggets, Jazz, and Heat.
- Teams staying at the Grand Floridian will be the Thunder, Rockets, 76ers, Pacers, Mavericks, Grizzlies, Magic, and Nets.
- Teams staying at the Yacht Club will be the Blazers, Spurs, Suns Kings, Pelicans, Suns, and Wizards.
We will continue to follow the events when the basketball season resumes at Walt Disney World Resort. It’s great to see the NBA is capable of finishing the season at Walt Disney World Resort!
