Staff and officers of the Cocoa Police Department escorted 25 kids to Walt Disney World on Wednesday!
This trip was part of an initiative by Cocoa Community First Inc. which is a nonprofit organization.
The trip was sponsored by both Disney and the organization.
In a Facebook post, the Cocoa police wrote, “Thank you to everyone who supports this non-profit and thank you to Disney for helping us connect with our kids.”
The children were specially selected for their behavior and accomplishments by the Brevard County school principals and teachers.
“It’s about making them feel special and letting them know we are so very proud of their good behavior and accomplishments. We are grateful to be able to do this each year,” the post said.
The parents were thrilled for their children because it was the first Disney trip for many.
