Disney Dining Plans Reviewed

2011 & 2012 Disney Dining Plans Reviewed

Walt Disney World has several Dining Plans. Most people only know about one or two of these different dining plan options (Quick Service and Disney Plus Dining). On this weeks Mouse Chat we review all the different Disney Dining Plans and cover what each plan offers. There are also changes to the 2012 Disney Dining Plans that you should know about.

Also in this weeks Disney news we talk about Lightning McQueen and how he will be coming to Disney Hollywood Studios. Here is the link to the new Lightning McQueen Cars appearance that happens in Lights, Motor, Action (Video). This is coming to WDW soon and is already showing at Disneyland Paris. This is the Disneyland Paris version, which I assume will be what appears at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida soon.

You asked: How much is a Disney Resort Drink Mug? $13.99 and you are set.  It is good for your entire Disney Resort stay.

Please continue to send in any Disney questions you have and you might hear them on a future Mouse Chat Show. 🙂
We have a Disney listener question show coming up in two weeks.

  1. I have never been to WDW…only on the Disney Cruise but that fee awsome lookinh dining plan makes it look petty invting.

  3. Before the dining plans we only ate quick service and also went back to our hotel and eat sandwiches. The dining plans give us an opportunity to eat fabulous foods. But I am not fond of the price increases. But I do love the fact about getting the refillable mugs. With a family of 5 we usually buy 3 or 4 of these mugs.

  6. I also did an extensive price comparison of what we would eat without the dining plan. If there was no such thing as a dining plan compared to the dining plan with one sit down, one counter, and one snack a day. The cost of the plan comes VERY close to what I would buy with no plan. We have 2 adults, 2 kids considered adults, and one kid on his last year of being a kid. My kids can not eat the amount of food for an adult. (Two of the 3) So it is a waste for me at this time to pay for food that will just get thrown away. We did do the dining plan when they were all considered kids, and loved the convenience. I do also see us enjoying it again when they are all older teenagers. Right now though, it just doesn’t work. We will be staying off property this trip to save money on one house over two disney rooms, and we will not have the dining plan.
