A new shop has popped up on Main Street, USA in Disneyland. The showroom for famous and nostalgic Mickey Mouse cartoons is now showcasing merchandise.
The Main Street Cinema is an opening day attraction that welcomes guest to journey back in the times of the early silver screen. The cinema is home to Walt Disney films such as Steamboat Willie, Plane Crazy, The Moose Hunt, Traffic Troubles, The Dognapper, and Mickey’s Polo Team. The facade of the building is reminiscent of a timeless theater box office. Atop is a marquee advertising the showing of Steamboat Willie, just like you would see in the 1920’s and 30’s.
This week, the historical Disneyland monument was slightly altered to feature more than just short films.
The dimmed lights have been turned up a little brighter in order to view merchandise. Shelving and displays have been placed in the cinema to showcase clothing and other accessories.
At this point in time, it is unsure if this will be a permanent alteration. Also, items in the store seem to be more of a seasonal variety.
One thing we do know for sure is there seems to be no shortage of ears or spirit jerseys. That seems like a very good sign to us!
