We already know that Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+ is going to be bringing us some new and original Star Wars content. Shows like The Mandalorian and a new animated Clone Wars have already been confirmed, along with a series involving characters from Solo and a potential Obi-Wan series. Now, we have another rumor to add to the list, one that includes the return of Ewoks to television.
Moviehole is reporting that a show on Disney+ could potentially star the furry friends from Endor:
“(Disney is) secretly working on other Star Wars projects that’ll premiere on the small screen. One of those upcoming may feature the return of the Ewoks.”
Strangely enough, this is not the first time the Ewoks have starred in their TV show. Back in 1985, ABC had a popular animated series called “Ewoks” that ran for two seasons. Part of that series was inspired by two made-for-TV films. Lucasfilm produced both “Caravan of Courage: The Ewok Adventure” and it’s a sequel “Battle for Endor”.
The films revolve around two human children, a brother and sister, who are in search of their parents on Endor.
So what do you think? Would you watch a new series about Ewoks?
