Earlier this week, the opening dates of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge were released. If you don’t have a trip planned this year to either Disneyland or Walt Disney World, or want to wait until the crowds subside somewhat, here’s your own little sneak peek into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This drone footage showcases some amazing details in the land. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the exclusive drone video of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The drone footage is amazing! The Millennium Flacon looks incredible! Talk about a perfect way to view the land with no crowds, no kids sitting on shoulders blocking your view, and without the added heat and humidity that Florida excels at. For those that aren’t Star Wars fans, I have a feeling you will still be blown away by the details and theming in the new land.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge is set to debut May 31st in Disneyland. Bob Iger, CEO of Disney announced earlier this week that both lands will have a two-phase opening. Included in phase one are restaurants, shopping, and Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Part two is the opening of Star Wars Rise of the Resistance. Keep in mind, the first phase is still going to be amazing. Walking around the area will leave you feeling like you’re actually on the planet of Batuu. You will be immersed in your own adventure while everything unfolds around you. Just being able to walk around in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is its own experience.
By the way, don’t forget if you’re visiting during the first few weeks of the opening, you will need a no-cost reservation to get into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Guests staying at one of the three Disneyland on property resorts will receive a reservation. Details are still unknown on how to obtain a reservation for off property guests. Check back for more details.
Over in Florida, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will have it’s phase one opening August 29th. Lastly, fastpasses will not be available, but Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be part of Extra Magic Hours, available to guests staying on Disney property.
So, you’ve now seen the exclusive drone video of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. What did you think? Are you ready to book a trip to be the first line, or possibly wait a couple of years for the dust to settle? I have a feeling that while the exclusive drone video of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is amazing, actually arriving in Batuu and taking in all of the sights and sounds in person is going to blow us away!
