Disneyland Paris Is Holding An Official Pride Parade

Disneyland Paris Pride

The popular event Magical Pride will return to Disneyland Paris this year for Pride Month.  Magical Pride, similar to Walt Disney World and Disneyland’s Gay Days, started as an unofficial fan event back in 2014.  This year, Disneyland Paris is turning it into an officially sanctioned park event, including a special celebratory parade!

Walt Disney Studios Park will host the celebration of pride on Saturday, June 1st, marking the official start of Pride Month.  Magical Pride will be a separately ticketed event where LGBTQ+, their families, friends, and allies are invited to attend.  The park will close to regular guests for this special event that runs from 8 pm till 2 am!  Special experiences are set to include:

  • Access to Selected Attractions
  • Disney Character Meet ‘n’ Greets
  • Magical March of Diversity Parade
  • DJs & Special Live Music Performances
  • Karaoke Theatre Experiences
  • Themed Photo Locations

LGBTQ+ events have a long history in Disney parks, with the first “Gay Days” taking place at Walt Disney World back in 1991.  Since then, the unofficial events have grown in popularity to include most of the theme parks around the world.  Just last year, Disney debuted Pride merchandise for the month of June, including the very popular Mickey Ears design.

Tickets for the Magical Pride event start at $107.64 for adults and children.  For additional information and to see a full itinerary of events, check out the official site HERE.

Do you plan to attend the Magical Pride event at Disneyland Paris this year? Have you attended in the past? Would you love to see these official events come to the other Disney Parks?  Let us know in the comments!

  1. That is great, but why isn’t this happening here at DLR and WDW ? Gay Days here in the U.S. parks are not official Disney events, and they’re not held during Pride month.
