It’s a new year and that means a sparkly new color at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts! The “Potion Purple” Mickey ears have hit the shelves at both resorts. This can only mean one thing; Purple treats everywhere! The purple treats are going to be a spectacular new addition for your Potion Purple Mickey Ears. Most importantly, this means the perfect Instagrammable photo op! The treats are available at Walt Disney World already and begin January 11 at Disneyland, unless otherwise noted. In addition to the Potion Purple ears and all the purple treats, beginning January 11, you’ll be able to completely deck yourself in purple, with a Potion Purple Spirit Jersey.
Let’s dive right into the scrumptious details of what and where to find the delectables.
Find this Purple Starry Sky Cake at Disney’s All-Star Resorts’ food courts. The Purple Starry Sky Cake features purple chocolate mousse on a chocolate sponge with a “galaxy” glaze and sprinkles.
Indulge over African Violet Cupcake. The moist vanilla cupcake mixed with the perfect concoction of berry preserves, and topped with chocolate buttercream at The Mara. The Mara is located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This one is almost too pretty to not eat!
The Purple Galaxy Cupcake is out of this world adorable! Head over to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort or Disney’s Pop Century Resort’s food courts to scarf this down! This is raspberry jelly filled chocolate cupcake is covered with vanilla buttercream, pearls, glitter, and chocolate “ears.”
I hope Minnie has a matching dress for this precious Purple Minnie Cupcake! Inside Capt. Cook’s/Kona Coffee Bar, at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, is this beauty. This ones for all you PB & J fans! Inside the vanilla cupcake is peanut butter and raspberry jam before it’s finish with the purple buttercream top.
While you’re near the monorail, hop on and head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Here you’ll find the Purple Contempo Cupcake. This foodie’s delight is filled with purple sprinkles surrounded by strawberry cake. There’s no better way to top a cupcake than lavender buttercream and perfectly placed, purple Minnie ears.
This one may be the one I try first. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort’s Roaring Fork is where you’ll find the Purple Blackberry Mousse Brownie. Blackberry mousse and a rich decadent brownie are sure to be a true temptation!
Parents, hide your kids from finding the Purple Cupcake inside Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts’ food courts. The vanilla cupcake has a surprising twist as you bite into it–cotton candy! That’s right, it’s stuffed with cotton candy and then topped with cotton candy buttercream, crisp pearls, and gorgeous glitter ears.
Last, for the Walt Disney World Resort, purple treats is a Black Raspberry Lemon Tart. At Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Marketplaces, this sweet awaits you. The sugar tart shell is layered with black raspberry mousse over a black raspberry-lemon curd. Topping this adorable treat are our favorite ears!
Not pictured, but still deserves attention are the Purple Wall Cotton Candy & Purple Minnie Cake on a Stick. You can find these both in Magic Kingdom Park. The cotton candy is on the cart near the infamous purple wall and the Minnie-shaped blackberry cake on a stick is available January 11 on the Castle Hub Cart.
Now, let’s head to the west coast and make some food stops at the Disneyland Resort.
First up, the Purple Glove Macaron and Purple Rose. Both are found inside Disneyland Park. The Purple Glove Macaron have a blackberry-currant center with a blackberry and currant buttercream. The Purple Rose is a lemon, blackberry, and currant center with blueberry mouse.
Starting January 18, sip on the Jamaica Freeze at Rancho del Zocalo inside Disneyland Park. Also at Rancho del Zocalo, enjoy fish tacos with purple cabbage slaw. The Baja-style tacos are served with a side of blue corn chips.
It doesn’t get any tastier than this Lavender Milk Tea. It has lemon filled pearls, purple whipped cream, and a rim of lavender sugar. Find this at Red Rose Tavern, inside Disneyland Park.
Next, our last drink is at Bengal Barbecue, inside Disneyland Park. The Jungle Julep springs your tastebuds into full awareness combining pineapple, orange, grape, and lemon into a slush drink.
Finally, it’s not a trip to Disneyland Park without a churro. Even better, a Purple Churro.
Find more purple treats at Disneyland Park. Not picture, but noteworthy are the Berry Berry Purple Cobbler, Purple Cake Pop, and Taro Pancakes.
