Disneyland Annual Passholder changes are coming. Announced today, the Disneyland Resort is making the first of what could be larger changes to their annual passport program. This change will limit which parks passholders can visit on specific days.
With their most ambitious project ever opening during the summer of 2019, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the reimagined Pixar Pier opening in just a few short weeks, there will be unparalleled experiences, both classic and new across both Parks at the Disneyland Resort!
With all of that in mind, the Annual Passport program will now be moving to Park-specific calendars beginning June 2019. This means that, depending on the pass type purchased, Blockout Dates will apply to one or both Theme Parks. As always, admission to the Parks will remain subject to capacity restrictions and other closures. You can view the calendar for the latest schedule and for more information here.
“As our business evolves, this is the first step in reshaping our Annual Pass program, which will better manage the guest experience and allow all Disneyland Resort visitors to have a great visit, particularly as we look forward to the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in summer 2019,” Disneyland spokeswoman Liz Jaeger said in a prepared statement.
The Annual Passport program will continue to offer Passholders year-round magic at both Theme Parks, including world-class entertainment, special discounts, offers and opportunities.
The Passholder Calendar on the Disneyland site is currently available through June of 2019, allowing passholders to plan their visits up to 13 months in advance. Passholders will select the park they wish to visit and their Passport Tier and the calendars will populate. Green means “Good to Go” and grey is a Blockout Date.
Please note, if you purchased and activated your Annual Passport prior to June 1, 2018, your Passport will not be affected until renewal, and you will still continue to have the same Park access based on the Passport type you currently hold.
