Han Solo, originally played by Harrison Ford is such a loved and iconic hero in the Star Wars universe. Alden Ehrenreich took on the role of playing the young Han in the new “Solo: A Sar Wars Story” later this month.
During a recent interview with “Entertainment Tonight”, Ehrenreich was asked questions about what it was like playing Han Solo and asked about the guidance he received from Ford as he prepared to play Han. During those questions, Ford sneaks up behind Ehrenreich for the surprise. Take a look at the video below.
Ford sneaks in with director Ron Howard and jokingly tells Ehrenreich to get out of his chair. As you can imagine, he was quite surprised! This encounter isn’t the first time the two Hans have met. The pair had lunch during pre-production of “Solo: A Star Wars Story” and Ford served as an advisor during filming.

Taking on such an iconic role is no easy task, but Ford compliments Ehrenreich’s portrayal of the younger Han. “I just thought it was spectacular. And I just thought he was so smart about what he did and how he did it. I couldn’t be happier,” he said.
Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany. Ron Howard directs “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” and Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are the producers. Lawrence Kasdan, Jason McGatlin, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller serve as executive producers. Jonathan Kasdan & Lawrence Kasdan wrote the screenplay.
