Have you seen “Black Panther” yet? If not, you might be one of the only ones who hasn’t. After being in theaters for 31 days, “Black Panther” is still at the top of the charts. The last movie to appear on top of the box office list for five weeks consecutively was “Avatar.”
This weekend, “Black Panther” took in an estimated $27 million at 3,834 theaters in the United States and Canada combined. This number was enough to keep it ahead of the newest installment of “Tomb Raider.”
Since “Black Panther” premiered last month, it has brought in a total of $605.4 million. It is the seventh movie to ever pass the $600 million mark in North America. Outside of North America, “Black Panther” has grossed $577.1 million. Collectively the movie has brought in $1.18 billion.
Will “Black Panther” be number one for the sixth week in a row? We will have to wait and see!
