Golden Oak Outpost is now serving Barbecue Chicarrones as part of their recently updated menu. You can find the Golden Oak Outpost across from Pecos Bill’s along the walkway between Adventureland and Frontierland.
Chicharrones, otherwise known as Pork Cracklings, are basically fried pork rinds. Golden Oak Outpost is serving up a Barbecue version of this tempting snack. The Barbecue Chicharrones cost $4.49. They are salty and if you are lucky enough to get them from a fresh made batch, they will be warm as well. I liked them, but you will want to have a cup of water for this treat, or ask them to go light on the barbecue salting. The portion is fine for one person. However, I do not see this as a good value for the use of a snack credit on the Disney Dining Plan unless you are a huge fan of Pork Cracklings.
