The Force is alive and well aboard the ships that make up Disney Cruise Line’s award-winning fleet with the news that all new guest experiences will be added to Disney’s Star Wars Day at Sea line-ups.
During 15 special sailings taking place from January – April 2018, the following new out-of-this-galaxy experiences will be on offer.
The Dark Side:
- Star Wars Day at Sea celebrations will kick off with a one-time experience taking place the night before the event. Darth Vader and the Stormtroopers will be on hand to stage an Imperial takeover.
- Kylo Ren will appear on the day at “Jedi Training Academy” where young Padawans will need to summon their courage and face off against both Kylo and Darth Vader.
The Resistance
- Rey takes to the stage in a “Summon the Force” nighttime deck party that celebrates great moments from Star Wars films both old and new. This event includes an epic fireworks finale set to John Williams’ fantastic score that is not to be missed.
- “Porgs” fever is about to hit with the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Disney is pleased to announce that these lovable friends will be onboard to join in on the fun with scavenger hunt. Chewbacca needs your help tracking down these mischevious creatures which have been creating havoc at sea. Guests will have to decode secret messages to help them find the Porgs. At the end, you’ll be rewarded with a special Wookiee meet and greet.
- C-3PO will make an appearance in Star Wars: Command Post in Disney’s Oceaneer Club. With a new special offering, children can train to be members of the Resistance with a bit of help from this much-loved droid.
- Droid Racing is a fast-paced activity that the whole family will enjoy where guests can race BB-Unit droids through an obstacle course in the ship’s atrium. It’s the perfect chance to tests your skills and become master droid builders.
Other new onboard activities for the whole family while on a Star Wars cruise includes
- C-3PO, R2D2, Chewbacca and Darth Vader meet and greets which can be booked in advance at disneycruise.com
- Photo opportunities with life-size replicas of Han Solo frozen in Carbonite and well as other Star Wars-themed backdrops.
- Star Wars Drawing Academy where guests can learn to draw some of their favorite characters from across the Galaxy.
- Star Wars-themed games, trivia and activities for the whole family on the pool deck and in the D lounge.
