The Nachos are plentiful around the Walt Disney World Resort and Parks. November 6th is National Nachos Day and since we’ve been thinking about nachos all day we thought we’d share our top Disney picks!
The Nachos Grande at Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs is sure to please. This appetizer is great to share with family and friends. Tortilla chips piled high with chipotle chicken, black beans sauce, cruda salsa verde pico de gallo, queso fresco, sour cream and a blend of cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses make these nachos a must!
Disney Springs is the place for Nachos. Not only is Planet Hollywood Observatory serving up delicious nachos, The Smokehouse, located in Disney Springs West Side, hits it out of the park with their Smokehouse Nachos. You’ll get crispy fried tri-color corn tortilla chips topped with house-made cheese sauce, avocado lime crema, pickled jalapeños, fresh-made pic de gallo and cilantro. These nachos are also available with pulled pork or smoked beef brisket. And it doesn’t stop there. Head over to T-REX in the Disney Springs Marketplace, for Colloso Beef Nachos for Two, with Monterey Jack, cheddar cheese, black beans, pico de gallo, green onions and sour cream. There is nothing extinct about these nachos!
Now though November 13th you can grab the Loaded Greek Nachos available at the Greece Marketplace. Part of the offerings at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, these nachos consist of pita chips, meatless sausage crumbles and vegan tzatziki. But these nachos are only here for a little while longer so stop by and try them today.
A classic for me are the beef nachos at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Magic Kingdom. Tortillas topped with queso, seasoned ground beef, lettuce and tomatoes. These are also avaiable with seasoned black beans for a vegetarian option. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom stop by Yak and Yeti™ Restaurant for a twist on the traditional nachos dish. The Ahi Tuna Nachos come with sushi grade Ahi, Asian slaw, crispy fried wontons, wasabi aioli and sweet soy glaze. It’s the perfect plate to share! And don’t forget to stop by Dockside Diner near Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There you’ll find them serving up some tasty chili cheese nachos with guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream. And there is even an option for the kids topped with chili and cheese and including carrot sticks, apple slices and your choice of a small low-fat milk or a small Dasani water . In addition, both of these nachos are completely vegetarian.
And finally the ESPN Club over at Disney’s BoardWalk is raising the stakes with their Tuna Nachos. House-made wonton chips, togarashi-dusted tuna, soy-sesame sauce and wasabi aioli make this nachos dish a real game changer. And these aren’t the only gourmet nachos on the menu – you can also find Pub Nachos with house-fried corn tortilla chips, house-made chili, shredded cheddar, cheese sauce, sour cream, pico de gallo and jalapeños, with the option to add shrimp.
On National Nachos Day, or any day really, Walt Disney World is sure to have something to please every Nachos lover!
