We are hearing reports from Cruise Hive that a Disney Magic cruise passenger has died during a shore excursion on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean. The man was out on a tour operated by Pro Divers and died while diving. Police have been seen on the small diving boat assessing the scene.
This tragic event took place on May 6 during the Disney Magic’s 7-night Southern Caribbean cruise itinerary. St. Kitts was the last port of call for this voyage. The ship returned to its home port of San Juan, Puerto Rico May 7th.
Pro Divers is not a shore excursion that is bookable through Disney Cruise Line. It is popular with many cruise ship passengers as it offers an easy way to book the excursion near the port once guests disembark the boat.
Details have not been released as to the cause of the man’s death, but we will update the story if and when those details become available.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends affected by this tragedy.

Diving can be dangerous if a person doesn’t know what they are doing. Prayers to the family.
Wow I dove with Pro Divers in St Kitts. A great outfit. Diving is not dangerous but accidents can happen. Let us know any further details. Thanks
