Just one week from now, March 1st, Epcot will be kicking off its annual Flower & Garden Festival. We were able to get a sneak peek of the transformation from Epcot’s first International Festival of the Arts, to its 24th annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. Here are some of the changes we spotted.
The topiaries and flowers are beginning to make their appearance. Figment was put in place behind Spaceship Earth for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts with primarily a purple bed of flowers. He now has a fresh new bed of flowers around him in a wide variety of colors along with some large plastic lavender accent flowers.
Some of the other topiaries that are already on display are Phineas and Ferb along the walkway between Future World and World Showcase, Anna and Elsa in Norway, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in Germany, and Belle and Beast can be found in France. There are magnificent pots of flowers along the walkways as well that are likely going to be part of additional displays.
The Outdoor Kitchens are being prepared around the primary walkway of Epcot’s World Showcase.
The flower and butterfly patterns around the pond are colorful and the children’s playground areas are really taking shape.
The process of switching from one festival to the next is still a work in progress. We look forward to seeing the areas come to life when Epcot’s transformation for its 24th annual International Flower & Garden Festival is completed on March 1st for opening day.
