Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort Shoreline Gets a New Rocky Look

Rocks

Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort shoreline is getting a new rocky look.  Rocks began to be placed along the shoreline last week and the process is nearly complete.  The addition of the rocks provides a more finished look while offering an additional level of safety for guests.

A couple of weeks ago I was exploring Disney’s Boardwalk area and the fencing was up.  At that time, the rocks were not being placed yet. The beach area was empty, although I did notice footprints in the sand, and the look of the shoreline was very plain, giving the entire area of the beach and shoreline a vacant look and feel.

I was surprised to see the progress that has been made in such a short time. Now that the large rocks are being added along the shoreline, the look is much more appealing.  Even though the beach area was empty, with no people present, the look is brighter and more complete.  The rocks add a bit of color while defining the shoreline space.

The same “No Swimming” signs, that have been on this beach for as long as I can remember, remain as a reminder that swimming is not allowed in the area.  There are also Danger signs, mounted to the fence posts, warning of alligators and snakes in the area.  The new signs also warn people to stay away from the water and to not feed the wildlife in the area.

Y&B

I walked along the Boardwalk area during the Labor Day weekend after checking out the Sandtastic Weekends event at the Swan & Dolphin Resort.  The weather was very hot and sunny with clouds forming for our typical afternoon rain showers.  There was not even one person on the beach area, although I did see footprints in the sand again on this visit.  I am sure as the weather begins to cool down here in Central Florida that more people will sit and relax on the swings and chairs that are placed along the beach.  The new rocky look of Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort shoreline, while being a sad reminder of tragic events for many of us, will certainly provide a more complete and tranquil beach look to the space.

What do you think of the Yacht & Beach Club Resort’s new rocky shoreline look?
