Disney being sued over tripping incident at Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

A visitor to Walt Disney World is suing Disney for an unfortunate misstep at Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

In case you are unaware this parade takes place after dark, and once a parade is about to start Disney dims the lights throughout the park so you can truly enjoy the parade.

Michael Amabile claims that while waiting for Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade to begin he tripped over a elevated step on the sidewalk, he is suing Disney for not having enough lights and cast members not warning him over the step up.

His injuries were not disclosed.

  1. Seriously? So he’s suing Disney because he wasn’t watching where he was going? They announce that the lights are going down and to be aware of what is around you. They have their bases covered. Roam around at your own risk if you don’t want to watch where you are going once the lights go down. So sad that people want to ruin it for everyone else. And people wonder why it’s so expensive these days to go to the parks, because of people like this.

  2. I saw a motorized scooter drive off of the elevated step of the sidewalk and the person on the scooter fell off…she didn’t wait for the light level to go u[ after the parade either….was in too much of a hurry to leave.

  3. I hope he loses! Sorry, but Disney does warn people when the lights go down. If he’s on the sidewalk, then he should be aware of the curb. Does he honestly believe that Disney needs a bunch of cast members saying “Watch out for the curb!”? Obviously, he wasn’t paying attention to what he was doing. Don’t blame Disney for your stupidity!

  4. Even in the announcements for the parade, guests are told that “Due to lower light levels….”

  5. Maybe he really was hurt, or maybe he’s just taking advantage of the fact that this is Disney…….
    Disney = money.

  6. Seriously. How do people like this make it through life. Do you need someone to warn you of every single curb and slope everywhere you go in life so that you won’t fall down and hurt yourself? Get a grip on reality and watch where you’re walking!
