The upcoming D23 Expo is just a few short weeks away and will be full of exciting news, events and special announcements. A big one if not the biggest for Disney fans is the news that the “Finding Dory” trailer will be shown to the public for the first time at D23.
D23’s event “Every Story Is A Jouirney: The upcoming Films of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios” to be hosted by John Lasseter himself, will give fans a look at not only “Finding Dory” but the upcoming movies “The Good Dinosaur”, “Zootopia” and “Moana“. Along with never-before-seen footage, there will be plenty of surprise announcements, appearances and musical performances by the films’ voice talents.
We don’t know too much about “Finding Dory” but what we do know is that it will take place 6 months after “Finding Nemo” adventures and will have Dory and Marlin off on another adventure to the Marine Biology Institute of California where Dory was born. The journey will bring new characters including sea lions, a beluga whale and an octopus. Voice talents include Ty Burrell as Bailey, the beluga whale, and Dominic West and Idris Elba (unknown roles). Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton will be the voices of Dory’s parents and we will see returning cast members, Albert Brooks (Marlin) Willem Defoe (Gil), Vicki Lewis (Deb/Flo) and of course, the one of a kind, and my personal favorite, Ellen DeGeneres (Dory).
“Finding Dory” is still about a year away – June 17, 2016 but when it is released as part of Pixar’s 30th anniversary celebration, I will be celebrating and first in line!
