While grabbing a fantastic meal sitting in premium seating to view the fireworks is everyone’s dream come true, there’s a lot to be said of a beautiful day time view as well. We love our fireworks shows but I want to enjoy my view during breakfast and lunch too, don’t you? It’s also worth noting that not every fantastic view has to be outdoors of a park icon! This is my Top 10 Disney Dining Views list.
1. California Grill– Disney’s Contemporary Resort
This signature dining restaurant atop the Contemporary overlooks the sights of Magic Kingdom. During the day you can map out the park from your seat and get a really unique aerial view of all your favorite attractions. Of course you can schedule your meal during the Wishes Fireworks show nightly, as well. The restaurant pipes in the music and dims the lights to make the fireworks easy to see and enjoy. If you dined there earlier, bring your receipt and they’ll let you view the fireworks there even if you aren’t seated!
2. Ohana- Disney’s Polynesian Resort
Hawaiian theming, tasty family friendly food and a wall of windows facing Cinderella’s castle across Seven Seas lagoon make this one of the best views to dine with! During the day the view is amazing, not just during fireworks!
3. Coral Reef- Epcot
As a kid Coral Reef was the coolest place you could eat when I was growing up. There are so many wonderful choices now but I can’t forget about this one! You sit surrounded by enormous tanks filled with living coral reef and 4,000 sea creatures! I guess the only down side is getting past eating fish while other fish watch you. (ha ha??)
4. Tomorrowland Terrace- Magic Kingdom
Another family-style menu that pleases all and is a quick service option where you can grab your food and sit outside and enjoy the view. There isn’t a ton of seating outdoors so have someone scour for a table while you get in line for food! The view of the castle is worth it! This is also the sight of the Dessert Party for those who can get a ticket!
5. Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater- Hollywood Studios
Dark and indoors, this restaurant offers a break from the heat and gorgeous Florida sun if you need it. You sit in miniature cars, equipped with front and back seats (some with even more rows), with your friends or family with little shelf-tables in front of each row. The best part- your car is facing a movie screen that plays 1950s sci-fi movie scenes that are sure to entertain your party! If you’re a sci-fi fan, or just appreciate retro dining, check it out!
6. Be Our Guest– Magic Kingdom
Tale as old as time. You know the rest. This restaurant takes you somewhere not many other places can. Right into one of your favorite movies! Whether you are sitting in The West Wing, The Grand Ballroom or The Castle Gallery you will sit in awe at your surroundings. Now serving all 3 meals a day (breakfast and lunch are quick service) you have many opportunities to experience Beast’s home.
7. Rose and Crown Pub- Epcot
Found in England inside the World Showcase this sit down restaurant offers views of the World Showcase Lagoon and other countries by day. A fan favorite for both food and beer, this pub is also a coveted spot for dinner during IllumiNations. Seating outside on the patio is limited but request it when you are greeted by the hosts!
8. Spice Road Table- Epcot
Travel to Morroco once you reach the World Showcase and you won’t be disappointed. Another great view of IllumiNations by night and fantastic outdoor-dining-inspired Mediterranean cafe to enjoy by day as well.
9. Crystal Palace- Magic Kingdom
I first visited Crystal Palace as an adult, which probably changed my view of the experience. While I wouldn’t classify it as my top dining experiences based on food, I loved the overall time I spent there. I took the photo above from the patio outside. If you request a window seat, you can grab a similar shot!
10. Pinocchio Village Haus- Magic Kingdom
A great place to catch a quick service meal and take in a view of New Fanstasyland! If you grab your table upstairs in the Monstro room you can sit to one side and overlook the entrance to the inside of It’s a Small World. If you sit near the windows you can watch the crowds and admire the Prince Charming Regal Carousel. If you have excellent timing you can grab a spot on in the outdoor balcony and see it all up close and personal. Fare includes Italian selections and overall it’s great place to bring your family.
BONUS!
Rainforest Café- Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom
An honorable mention since it’s not truly “Disney”…If you love being immersed in a fabulously themed dining experience, this place is a must. This restaurant seats you in the middle of a tropical rainforest with no need for bug spray. Everywhere you look there is color, movement and detail. If you can get a seat near one of the large animal displays you’ll be in for a real surprise when every few minutes an indoor “rain storm” begins. *It’s worth mentioning that this experience can be a little intense for younger guests, so use discretion when traveling with little ones.*

Love, love, LOVE Pinocchio’s Village Haus! Such an underrated dining experience! A great place to chill out and watch the crowds from above and enjoy amazing flatbreads! I may have to try sitting in the Monstro room next trip…
