Breakfast at Disney World can be a fabulous way to start your Disney day off right! Besides who can resist a healthy dose of Disney pixie dust first thing in the morning? There are several tummy filling locations for breakfast across the Disney property. To help narrow them down, the following top 10 breakfast restaurants at Disney World include some of my family’s favorite spots as well as some popular locations that may be harder to reserve:
- Boma is found at the Jambo House of the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Boma boasts a fabulous buffet spread at breakfast featuring American and African inspired dishes. The french toast bread pudding is scrumptious! Boma has never disappointed and is one of my favorite restaurants all around.
- Over at the Polynesian Resort, your family can find ‘Ohana. ‘Ohana means family, so it no surprise that you are served family style here while mingling with Mickey, Stitch, Lilo, and Pluto. The family style platter include all-you can eat sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, bacon, Mickey waffles, and roasted potatoes. When you hear the music for the parade, feel free to get your little ones to join in!
- Tusker House can be found in the Animal Kingdom Park. You can eat with Goofy, Mickey, Donald, and Daisy Duck. Tusker House features a full breakfast buffet and one of the biggest pastry bars around. The leek and potato frittata has won me over as a favorite, as long with their Mickey waffles of course!
- Kona Cafe is housed at the Polynesian Resort. It is well known for its Tonga Toast, Samoan, and Big Kahuna breakfast dishes. If you are a coffee lover, I would recommend trying their Kona coffee as well. If you are hungry for Tonga Toast, but didn’t get a reservation for Kona Cafe, you can also get it at their quick service – Captain Cook’s.
- Inside the Contemporary Resort, your family will find Chef Mickey’s. Here, your family can dine with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald Duck. You can often see the monorail go bye while your family enjoys the breakfast buffet. While this location is not one of my family’s favorite for breakfast, it definitely seems to book up quickly since you can see the fab 5.
- Yeehaw! Is your family ready for a rootin’ tootin’ good breakfast at Wilderness Lodge Resort’s Whispering Canyon Cafe? At this Western themed establishment, you can order you vittles as an all-you-can eat breakfast platter or you can choose to order individual entrees. My favorite is the Belgian waffle with maple butter and candied pecans. Be ready for a hankerin’ good time if you want some ketchup!
- Cinderella’s Royal Table at the castle in Magic Kingdom is fit for any prince or princess who wants to dine with Disney royalty. Princess appearances may change, but may include ones such as Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine, or Ariel. Little ones will get a complimentary wand or sword. If you have a seafood lover in your group, my husband would recommend the lobster and crab crepes for breakfast. Cinderella’s Royal Table still seems to be a popular spot and is a little more pricey than other table service locations. If you are trying to save a little money, breakfast is the cheapest meal to pick.
- Over at the Boardwalk resort, people are raving about Kouzzina. Kouzzina showcases Cat Cora’s Mediterranean inspired dishes. The warm honey pecan cinnamon roll, breakfast skillet or the pancakes are phenomenal. Luckily, Kouzzina is just a short walk over to Epcot, where you can continue your cultural exploration in the World Showcase.
- So you want to be a star? Head over to Hollywood Studios where you can find Hollywood and Vine. If you have younger children who watch shows from Disney Junior, then this Play n’ Dine spot is the place for your family. Dine with Disney Junior stars like Handy Manny, Jake from “Jake and the Neverland Pirates,” Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First, at an all-you-can eat buffet.
- Oh bother, back to the Magic Kingdom for the Crystal Palace breakfast buffet. Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet make this location a honey of a meal. This breakfast buffet is known for its breakfast lasagna – a multi-layer dish you have to taste for yourself. Your tummy will certainly not be rumbly when you leave here.
Since I love breakfast, here are a couple of extra places to consider: 1900 Park Fair at the Grand Floridian and Cafe May Cafe at the Beach Club Resort. As you can see, there is no shortage of places to choose from for breakfast and this list is just the tip off of Mickey’s sorcerer hat.
